9200 Pavement joint

When laying paving stones, jointing sand is a traditional method that offers several advantages.
The sand fills the joints between the pavers and helps to keep the pavers in place and stabilize the paved area. In addition, the paver joints remain flexible and resilient for years to absorb slight movement of the pavers.
Jointing sand is water-permeable, allowing rainwater to drain away.
The processing of jointing sand is very simple. After laying the paving stones, the material is swept into the joints using a broom. The excess sand is then swept off and the surface is wetted with water to compact the sand.
If there is settlement, the joint sand can be easily refilled. Repairs to the pavement are also easily made.
