LEVELING TILE ADHESIVE
2-in-1: surface leveling and tile fixing
- For ceramic tiles up to 60 × 60 cm: provides reliable adhesion
- Layer thickness of 5–30 mm: allows leveling uneven substrates
- Ideal for floor tiling: creates a smooth, even surface
- Suitable for tiling works in dry and wet areas. Designed for installing ceramic tiles on walls and floors in residential and public buildings, including kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms and corridors. Suitable for tiling uneven substrates where irregularities can be compensated for by applying the adhesive in a 5–30 mm layer.
- Can be used for outdoor applications in areas protected from direct exposure to precipitation, continuous water exposure and intense sunlight. Not recommended for areas subject to prolonged moisture, significant temperature fluctuations or other severe climatic conditions. For outdoor tiling in more demanding conditions, it is recommended to use the specialized CEMIX 8265 TILE ADHESIVE XXL FLEX.

Substrate requirement
The substrate must comply with applicable standards, be sound, free of cracks, loose particles, dust, paint, and efflorescence. It should be sufficiently rough, dry, and evenly absorbent. The surface must not be frozen or water-repellent.
Substrate preparation
Depending on substrate water absorption and climatic conditions, the following is needed: Use primer on absorbent substrates. If necessary, for non-standard substrates, modify with a suitable method to achieve the desired properties. Smooth unevenness of the substrate with suitable Cemix materials and allow to dry and cure. The substrate shall comply with applicable regulations, standards, or material manufacturer's recommendations.
Preparation of the mixture
Add 25 kg of CEMIX 8208 LEVELING TILE ADHESIVE to 4.7–5.5 l of clean water. Mix for 5 minutes using a paddle mixer at low speed until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained. Leave the mixture to rest for 3 minutes. Then mix briefly again.

Processing instructions
CEMIX 8208 LEVELING TILE ADHESIVE is suitable for tile installation on uneven substrates. If leveling is required, first apply a thicker layer and distribute it using a straightedge or trowel. Form the required adhesive thickness by filling the substrate irregularities. Do not exceed the maximum permissible layer thickness of 30 mm.
When installing tiles on an even substrate, apply the adhesive in an even layer using a notched trowel. Apply the adhesive to the substrate and spread it with the notched trowel, keeping the trowel at a consistent angle to form an even layer. For reliable and uniform contact, it is recommended to also apply adhesive to the back of the tile. Do not apply more adhesive than can be covered with tiles within the open time.
Place the tile onto the fresh adhesive and press it with a slight sliding movement. To ensure full and uniform contact between the tile and adhesive, it is recommended to use a tile vibrator. Move the vibrator over the tile surface until the required contact with the adhesive layer is achieved and any possible air voids are removed. For larger tiles, it is recommended to additionally apply adhesive to the back of the tile.
Immediately remove adhesive residue from the tile surface using a sponge and clean water.
Install the tiles within 15 minutes after applying the adhesive. The open time may vary depending on temperature, humidity, substrate absorbency and application conditions. Do not install tiles on the adhesive if a film has formed on its surface.
Pot life: up to 150 minutes after mixing (pot life may vary depending on temperature and application conditions).
